Hong Kong Computational Design Meetup – Inaugural Meeting
About a month or so ago, I decided it was time to do something I’ve been wanting to do for quite some time – start a Meetup.com group for people who love all things computational design. I had no idea what to expect for this inaugural event. I wasn’t sure how many people would we attract in Hong Kong or what industry they would come from.
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that over 20 people had RSVP’ed to the event and when we opened our doors, over a dozen arrived. People from all over the AEC industry joined the event – we even had some finance people! I kicked it off with a quick presentation about the ethos of the group as a knowledge sharing platform and then we broke up into groups to discuss what ideas we had about computational design and what we’d like to use it for. Some really good ideas were floated!
